We use USPS First Class and Priority Mail services. Overseas orders are shipped via USPS First Class Package International.

Yes, we ship all over the world. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout. Customers are responsible for duties. Want something today? Check out our PDF patterns.

All shipping costs are based on current USPS postal rates. We ship using USPS First Class mail. If a package is heavy enough, or if you request it, we'll ship USPS Priority mail. The cost for shipping is calculated at check out.

Don't want to pay for shipping? We offer FREE US shipping for all orders over $60.

No problem! Please reach our customer service team at with your FULL correct address on any unshipped order and we will fix it ASAP!

It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take around 5-11 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 10-20+ days. USPS delays make it difficult for us to give an exact 'delivery' date. Please contact USPS for any shipment delays at 1-800-ASK-USPS. Tracking details will be provided in your confirmation email.

T-Shirts and Mug orders are an exception to these policies and do not follow the same shipping timeline, as all of these items are shipped via printing provider warehouses all over the country. Please be prepared to add an extra 10+ days to the ship time.

Boo! Once we bring your package to the post office, it's basically out of our control. Our suggestion is to contact USPS immediately and provide them with your tracking number. Let them know your package appears to be lost and demand help (sometimes you need to be a bit pushy). Then email us to let us know that USPS has possibly lost your package, just so we are aware and can maybe find some solutions to help out.

While the USPS is responsible for damaged goods, we know this is super frustrating. Please email our customer service team with photos of your damaged goods (that will help us make a claim to USPS). And...We'll do our best to make your day better.

You can do it! Our embroidery kits come with all of the supplies you need along with helpful step-by-step instructions for getting started. From putting the fabric in the hoop, threading your embroidery needle, and onto your first stitches, we’ve got you covered!

We’ve also designed our embroidery patterns with the beginner in mind. Using basic embroidery stitches and simple, clear lines, our craft kits include fun, quirky, and simple patterns that are great for the beginner and the experienced crafter alike.

We’ve known kids as young as 6 years old be able to stitch our patterns. We recommend 13 and up, but a crafty kid under 13 should be able to stitch these patterns just fine with adult supervision.

For our iron-on kits and iron-on patterns, we include two different copies of the pattern for easy transferring: An iron-on pattern that can be used up to 5 times and a pattern for tracing.

The iron-on embroidery pattern makes it easy to transfer the image on to your fabric. Just lay the iron-on pattern (labeled “iron me” in the kit) with the image facing the right side your fabric and gently press the dry iron onto the back of the paper for about 5 seconds. Once the image is transferred, you’re ready to go! Keep your iron-on pattern and re-use it up to 5 times.

The embroidery pattern for tracing (labeled “trace me” in the kit) is easy to use with an embroidery tracing pen, or you can use a pencil. Simply lay your fabric on top of the pattern, and trace the pattern on to your fabric. Save the pattern and re-use it as many times as you would like!

We offer two different styles of embroidery kits at this time: An iron-on embroidery kit and a kit that comes with pre-printed fabric. See below for a description of what comes in each kit.

Iron-on embroidery kits

The iron-on embroidery kits come with an iron-on pattern, a traceable pattern, a piece of cotton muslin fabric, an 8-inch embroidery hoop, an embroidery needle, embroidery floss, a color and stitch guide, and easy-to-read instructions for embroidery stitches and how to begin.

The iron-on pattern will need to be transferred onto the fabric before beginning, but you will also have the option to iron your pattern onto any other fabric of your choice!

Pre-printed fabric embroidery kits

In our new embroidery kits, we provide a piece of fabric that already has the pattern printed onto it. This makes these kits ready to stitch, right out of the box!

Along with the pre-printed piece of fabric, you'll also receive an 8-inch embroidery hoop, an embroidery needle, embroidery floss, a color and stitch guide, and easy-to-read instructions for embroidery stitches and how to begin.

Woo-hoo! We love embroidery (obviously) and are so glad you're interested in giving it a go. You can do it! If you're looking to just give embroidery a shot, picking up one of our all-inclusive embroidery kits will give you everything you need to complete a project. If you're ready to dive in and build your stash, here are some of our favorite products for getting started:

- The embroidery starter supplies bundle (cost: $39.99 value: $45)

- Pocket Skeins embroidery floss ($12.95)

- 8-inch embroidery hoop ($4.95)

- Set of 2 embroidery needles ($0.55)

- Cotton embroidery fabric ($0.55/each for 10 x 10 inch square)

- Embroidery scissors (Coming soon!)

- Any pattern of your choice! You can pick up a PDF pattern, print it out and trace onto your fabric, or pick up an iron-on pattern pattern and easily transfer the design with a quick press of the iron.

Subscription info

We are so excited to offer a monthly subscription service for our loyal customers (and for the newbies who are diving in to embroidery)! Our monthly subscription options are:

- Embroidery of the Month Kit (a complete embroidery kit for the new, exclusive, monthly pattern, plus extra fun bonuses each month, $22.40, value $28.00)

- Embroidery of the Month - fabric only (the new, exclusive embroidery pattern pre-printed onto fabric and delivered to your door each month, $11.90, value $14.00)

You bet! This is one of the many perks about being subscribed. The discount level is different for each subscription, but you'll save between 15-20% when you subscribe!

Any subscription purchased throughout the month will be charged on the day of the purchase and will include the current month’s pattern. All subsequent patterns will be charged on the 1st of the month. (For example: If you decide to subscribe on May 20th, you will be charged on May 20th and receive the May pattern. You will then be charged again on June 1st, July 1st, etc.)

All subscribers will be charged at Midnight Central Time on the first of the month.

To upgrade or change subscriptions, you will need to Pause or Cancel the current subscription you're on and then purchase the subscription you'd like to upgrade to. We suggest pausing your subscription instead of canceling as this will allow you to restart at any time if you want to switch back.

For example, if you want to switch from the fabric-only to embroidery kit subscription, you would pause your fabric-only then subscribe to the kit on the 1st of the next month. If you want to switch back to fabric-only, simply Pause the kit and Unpause the fabric-only.

See How do I pause, skip, or cancel my subscription? for instructions on pausing or unpausing.

Please note, when purchasing the upgraded subscription, any purchases made before the 1st will be charged immediately and ship the current month's pattern right away. You will then be charged again on the 1st for the next month.

Access your subscriptions, by logging in to your account. Go to My orders and click on Manage Subscriptions.

In the Manage upcoming orders section you can choose a month that you would like to Skip shipment or you can click the “Pause Future Orders” button to pause your subscription. Your subscription will be paused until you resume it. We'll be sad to see you go, but you may also choose to cancel your subscription in this section.

To reactivate a paused or cancelled subscription, while in Manage Subscriptions, click “Resume future orders” if you paused and “View Inactive Subscriptions” then “Reactive Subscription” if you had cancelled. This will bring your subscription back to an Active status and you will be charged on the 1st of the next month.

NOTE: Be sure to make any skips or pauses to your subscription before the 1st of the month. Once you are billed, we cannot refund.

To easily update your shipping address in your account, make sure you're logged in and go to My orders. Click on Manage Subscriptions then Address and shipping information. Click “Edit.” You can then select a shipping address from your saved addresses on your account, or deselect the “Use an existing address” box and manually enter your new address.

NOTE: Changing your shipping address may affect the monthly shipping cost. These costs are set by the USPS and vary from state to state and country to country.

To update your billing information, make sure you're logged in to your account and go to My orders. Click on Manage Subscriptions then Payment information. Click the “Change Payment Information” button and you will receive an email that will help you to securely update your credit card information. You can also update your billing address in the Payment information section.

To help you get stitching faster, we’ve made it easy to access your PDF patterns and digital downloads through your Digital Library. You can access your Digital Library in your Penguin & Fish account. Click here for the step-by-step article on how to access your PDF patterns and digital downloads.

Ugh. This can be frustrating! If you're trying to log in and you get a message that your email is not recognized, or the account doesn't exist, you probably have not created a password for your account yet. But don't worry, it's super easy to do and all of your previous orders, PDF patterns and subscriptions will still be there!

To create a password and set up your account:

1. Head to and click My Account at the top (or the icon of the head if you're on mobile).
2. Then, instead of logging in, click on the orange "Create your account" words below the log-in.
3. Enter your name, email address (be sure to use the email address you used to place any orders) and create a password. Then, click "Create my account".

Once you're logged in, you can see all of your past orders, have access to your subscriptions, and be able to download any digital patterns you have purchased!
